One app
MKV, AVI, WebM, MP4 and dozens more, including 4K and HDR. Multiple audio tracks and subtitles are one tap away.
FLAC, ALAC, Opus and many more in a real library. Albums, artists, a ten-band equalizer and presets to start from.
Chapters, a sleep timer, a clearer voice and your exact place in every book, remembered on its own.
Stop anywhere. Everything continues from where you left it, with the settings you chose for that file.
No accounts, no ads and no tracking in the app. Your files stay on your device.
Built for each system, not a website in a box. Swift on Apple devices, Kotlin on Android and .NET on Windows, with hardware decoding that keeps video smooth and saves battery.
Adjustments
JayPlay shows the adjustments that matter for each kind of media and remembers them for each file.
Brightness, contrast, colour, gamma, hue, zoom, shape, rotation and subtitle size, position and timing.
Ten-band equalizer, bass, treble, stereo width and loudness levelling, with presets you can start from.
Speed without chipmunk voices, a clearer narrator, a steady level and silence skipping.
Formats
JayPlay is built on FFmpeg and mpv, the engines behind much of the world's video software.
Apple Music downloads (M4P) and Audible files (AA, AAX) are locked by their sellers, and no legitimate player can unlock them. On Mac, iPhone and iPad you can connect Apple Music and play your subscription through Apple. Anything you own without the lock, including Apple Lossless, AAC and M4B audiobooks, plays directly.
The JayApps family
JayPlay sits alongside JayD26, JayVault and JayStream: the same care, the same look and the same respect for your privacy.
Yes. There are no ads, accounts or subscriptions.
On Mac, iPhone and iPad you can connect your Apple Music subscription and play it through Apple's own player. On Windows and Android, protected Apple Music files can't be played. Songs you own without protection play everywhere.
Audible's AA and AAX files are locked to Audible's apps, so JayPlay shows a clear message instead of an error. Audiobooks without the lock, such as M4B and MP3, play with chapters, a sleep timer and resume.
No. JayPlay plays files on your device. It only goes online for a link you open yourself, or for Apple Music if you connect it.
Windows may show a SmartScreen notice for new apps that have no publisher certificate yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The published checksum lets you confirm the file is ours.
Download the APK, open it and allow your browser to install apps when Android asks.
